Linton Signs MoU with Nehru Arts and Science College



Linton University College signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Nehru Arts and Science College (NASC) today in Coimbatore, India. The objective of this collaboration is to initiate the student and staff mobility programme between both institutions in order to embark into research, publications, conferences and projects together. 



 

Dr Kamis Awang, the Vice Chancellor of Linton University College, signed the MoU on behalf of Linton, and the Chief Executive Officer of Nehru Group of Institutions, Dr. P. Krishnakumar signed on behalf of NASC. Dr. Parameswaran Subramaniam (Dean of the Faculty of Bussiness and Accounting), and Dr. Maria Josephie Williams (Assistant Professor of the Faculty of Business and Accounting),  represented Linton as witnesses to this auspicious event and as training presenters for the second part of this event. 


Fifty lecturers from NASC were present to witness the MoU signing ceremony. They then participate in the training programme that comprised two technical sessions. The Agenda for the day included a welcome address by Dr. M Kanagarathinam, the Head of the Commerce Department of NASC, a presidential address by the C.E.O, a chief guest address by Dr. Parameswaran. The signing ceremony of the MoU took place right after and ended with a note of gratitude from Dr. P. Kalaivani (Assistant Professor, Commerce NASC). 

 

 


After lunch, Dr Parameswaran headed the first technical session with a talk entitled “Flipped Classroom for Teaching and Development”. This was followed by Dr Maria’s presentation in the second technical session, with a talk that was wittily titled “Permanent Head Damage (Ph.D) vs Doctorate in Philosophy (Ph.D).
